WordPress Themes in the Age of Gutenberg

WE’RE BACK ON! Our venue is NOW official. We’re proud to welcome Benjamin Ritner of Kadence Themes to the WordPress Santa Clarita Valley Meetup to talk about his WordPress themes and the future with Gutenberg.

NOTE: We’ll be meeting in the Community Room (NOT the computer room) at the Santa Clarita Library Newhall location.

As always, bring your laptops and questions as we’ll have time to help with questions you have with your work, give you an impromptu critique, or talk shop.

Here’s the tentative schedule:
I. Brief news, attendee intros, and Meetup outline (1p)
II. Benjamin Ritner, Kadence Themes (1:10p)
— Bio/introduction (please provide or I’ll grab from your site)
— How long have you been in the WordPress space?
— Training/education/coding backstory
— Have you always been building themes? If yes or no, explain your journey
— Why Kadence Themes? What is your audience? What niche or audience does your theme appeal to? How to buy (plugs for any products)
— How has Gutenberg changed your business and process of theme-building?
— What do you see as the future of theming?
— Questions/Comments
III. WordCamp Santa Clarita – what is a WordCamp, call for volunteers, speakers, sponsors, venue, after-party, and ticket info (1:30p)
IV. Happiness Bar website review and Q&A (2-2:15p)
V. Timeline to WordCamp, Next Meetup, Conclusion (2:15-2:30p)
