Begin where you begin again
My first exposure to the concept of a WordCamp was here in Los Angeles, my hometown. The location and faces have changed, but the things that make the WordPress Open Source Project such a cool Community experience still remain and burn as strong as ever. Here is some feedback from those in attendance on social media (Twitter):
RT @machiellethomas: “An easy way to tell if a site is addressing accessibility is by trying to use the tab key” #WCLAX@joesimpsonjr pic.twitter.com/r3JuTZHmZQ

RT @McDwayne: "I want to turn you all into advocates who fight for accessibility" Bold goal at #wclax from the awesome @joesimpsonjr "Close Your Eyes" pic.twitter.com/WPm2bkHJGP

DYK? 4.5% of the world's population has trouble seeing certain color combos? Then why do designers create color palettes customers can't see? Join the @WordPress Community at @WordCampLAX 9/22 3:30p to find out how Accessibility adds value to your process. https://t.co/vLt2MDNJMl pic.twitter.com/aA630jRKck

THAT'S THE TICKET: "If I get cited driving solo in a carpool lane, the ticket cost would be worth the time saved speeding thru traffic jams." Many designers/developers put themselves/clients at risk by using this mantra by ignoring accessibility. #WCLAX https://t.co/vLt2MDNJMl pic.twitter.com/SeL0JVDEBQ
